Metolachlor

CAS No.: 51218-45-2
Properties:
White powder or light yellow brown liquid. It is an amide pre-emergence herbicide, which is mainly absorbed by young shoots. Among them, monocotyledonous weeds are mainly absorbed by the buds, and dicotyledons are absorbed by the shoots and radicles, and are transmitted upwards to inhibit the shoots and roots. Growing, sensitive weeds die after being germinated or just unearthed or poisoned.
Mode of action:
Selective herbicide, absorbed predominantly by the hypocotyls and shoots. Inhibits germination.
Usage:
Control of annual grasses and some broad-leaved weeds in maize, sorghum, cotton, sugar beet, fodder beet, sugar cane, potatoes, peanuts, soya beans, safflowers, sunflowers, various vegetables, fruit and nut trees, and woody ornamentals. Applied pre-emergence, pre-plant incorporated or early post-emergence. Often used in combination with broad-leaved herbicides, to extend the spectrum of activity.
