Properties: White crystalline powder or colorless crystal with salty taste,odor free and humidifying. It is soluble in water and liquid ammonia, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in acetone and diethyl ether. Its aqueous solution appears weak acidity, and the acidity increases during heating. It has an corrosives to black metal, special to the copper, but it is no corrosion of pig iron.
Usage: Used in Dry Cell & Storage Battery Making; Candle Making; Electroplating Bath Additive; Tanning; Precision casting; Dyeing Aid; Adhesive; Chromizing. Also used as a basic fertilizer for the production of compound fertilizers.
