Aluminium phosphide
CAS No.: 20859-73-8
Properties:
It is grey or grey green tablet. It is a highly toxic broad-spectrum fumigation insecticide. It appears as gray or gray-green tablets and is flammable when exposed to moisture.
Mode of action:
Aluminum phosphide produces highly toxic phosphine gas after absorbing water. Phosphine enters the insect body through the respiratory system of the insect and acts on the respiratory chain and cytochrome oxidase of the cell mitochondria, inhibiting the normal respiration of the insect and causing the insect to die.
Usage:
Aluminum phosphide is used as a fumigant to protect stored grain from insects and rodents. It is widely used to fumigate pests in grain, seeds, medicinal materials, feed, tobacco and other items. It can also be used for fumigation and pest control in silos, warehouses, containers, factories, storage rooms, railway carriages, trucks, ships and other spaces.
