Properties:
White crystalline powder. Famoxadone is an oxazolidinedione fungicide acknowledged for effective preventive effects and broad fungicidal spectrum. It is used to control a diverse array of foliar fungal diseases. It works primarily by protective action on the plant.
Mode of action:
Quinone outside Inhibitor. Inhibits mitochondrial electron transport, by blocking ubiquinol: cytochrome c oxidoreductase at complex III. Activity resides mainly in the (S)- isomer. Protectant and residual fungicide. Acts mainly by inhibiting spore germination.
Usage:
Famoxadone is a new effective, broad-spectrum fungicide with protective, therapeutic, eradication, osmotic and endo-absorptive activities. The mechanism of action is energy inhibitor, namely, inhibition of mitochondrial electron transfer. Used for wheat, barley, peas, beets, rape, tomatoes, peppers, melons, potatoes. To prevent and control important diseases of ascomycetes, basidiomycetes and oomycetes, such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, net spot, rust, bacterial blight and late blight.
